Moral Injury Healing Retreat
A full-day secular retreat at Syracuse’s Christ the King Retreat Center for military veterans (and active duty) and family members interested in exploring healing modalities related to moral injury, such as mindfulness, writing, meditation, yoga, and storytelling workshops. These are non-religious, non-therapeutic offerings. Participants with disabilities, service animals, and/or in need of special accommodations are encouraged to apply as well. There is a small registration fee ($20) to offset costs and to help with funding scholarships for participants demonstrating financial need.
- Wear comfortable clothing and drink plenty of water the night before (some workshops encourage movements, but nothing strenuous)
- Bring a notebook and pen
- Overnight accommodations at Christ the King Retreat Center are available – participants will have to book for themselves.
- The $20 registration fee covers all workshops and refreshments & lunch.
